New New New

So many new things going on right now with me. As people who know me would probably agree I thrive on routine and consistency. Throw too many new things at me at once and I'll shut down and try to retreat to a quiet place.

So whats been going on? Well, I have a "new" job. Same job just a new company winning the contract. I had to interview for my own position which was weird. I've never had to do that before. Thankfully, I breezed thru and for really the first time in my adult life I feel based on feedback that my IT certs and degree made all the difference. So I need to publicly thank my wife who hounded me for years to finally finish my B.S. Thank you for being who you are and using your common sense to "positive nag" me into being a better me.

I am also now an official business owner. I've finished the process of incorporating a business and should receive my license soon. What will I do with it? Who knows but I've missed many opportunities by not having an LLC waiting in the wings so to speak. So now if something presents itself I will be ready. My first idea will be to buy some land for slum lordage but I'll wait for something really good. I've already found one such place and I hope to get the current owner to sweeten the pot enough for me to jump on it.

And lastly I've been killing the Ilg workouts lately. Yoga, mountain biking and weights. Since being diagnosed a few months ago with a not fully fused ankle bone I've been taking it easy on the hiking and it seems to be really paying off with my biking. Whereas 1 lap on the local trails used to wipe me out I've been easily doubling that lately. Add in my Fivefingers and my new bike and my enjoyment level has shot thru the roof.
