Starting this week I've decided it's once again time to tighten down and start getting ready for summer. I spent the latter half of last year lifting hard and minimizing my yoga and cardio to try and get my weights back up to where I wanted them. The triathlon prep last year really killed my strength. Or I guess I should say the overtraining for triathlon did it. Since I completely burned out a month before the tri even started. Hopefully I'll apply the lessons I learned last year if I decide to do it again. And I may. For now though I'll just start back on the trusty BFL diet that has kept me at my goal weight for 5 years now.
I'm excited about some new purchases I made at Xmas. One is power bands. No, not the crappy pilates bands that fat women use at home. These are heavy duty. Here's some links to some ideas for using them. Link 1. Link 2. I've already used them for the db ext. and they work great. I also got a wall adapter for t-bar rows. I've been trying different ways to do t-bar rows but finally decided to get an adapter after much aggravation. It should be here in a week or two.
Also, cold and new bike = no riding for 2ravens. :( Unlike werdkat's superhuman resistance to cold I don't enjoy riding in the cold. I love to hike in the cold...and heat...and rain.. Ok, I just like hiking but riding in less than 40F I just can't take. An indoor spinner is definitely in my future if I enjoy riding again all spring and summer.
